Taskbar Hero Cube Calculator for Synthesis Materials
Work backward from a target grade to see the conservative starting items, craft count, and public-reference chance for a two-grade result.
Game data snapshot: v1.00.28 · 18 Jul 2026Lucky +2-grade outcomes can reduce the real material requirement. The starting-item total is a conservative planning number, not an expected-value guarantee.
How the Taskbar Hero Cube Calculator Builds a Synthesis Chain
Choose the grade of the items you already have, the grade you want, and the number of finished items. The calculator compounds the displayed nine-material recipe once for every one-grade step between those two grades.
For a one-grade promotion, one target item needs nine starting items and one craft. For a two-grade promotion, the conservative chain needs 81 starting items: nine first-step crafts produce the nine intermediate items, then one more craft produces the target. The same rule continues through Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Immortal, Arcana, Beyond, Celestial, Divine, and Cosmic.
target quantity × 9 ^ grade stepsTotal crafts include every intermediate operation, not only the final click. For example, two Legendary targets starting from Common require 1,458 Common items in the one-grade-at-a-time model. The chain contains 162 Common-to-Uncommon crafts, 18 Uncommon-to-Rare crafts, and two Rare-to-Legendary crafts, for 182 crafts in total.
That is a planning ceiling for the displayed recipe path, not an expected average. A successful +2-grade result can bypass an intermediate grade and reduce the actual items and crafts used.
Understand the +2-Grade Chance at Each Step
The local data snapshot stores a normal higher-grade weight and a separate two-grade weight for each starting grade. The calculator divides the two-grade weight by the total of both weights. These per-craft values come from the public-reference snapshot synchronized on July 18, 2026.
| Starting grade | +2-grade chance |
|---|---|
| Common | 4.76% |
| Uncommon | 3.85% |
| Rare | 2.44% |
| Legendary | 0.99% |
| Immortal | 0.50% |
| Arcana | 0.50% |
| Beyond | 0.33% |
| Celestial | 0.10% |
| Divine | 0.00% |
These percentages describe each eligible Synthesis craft in the snapshot. They are not a guarantee that a particular batch will contain a skip, and the calculator does not reduce the headline material total by an assumed number of lucky results. Keeping the conservative total separate from the chance display makes it clear which number is deterministic and which outcome is random.
Use the Result as a Materials Plan, Not a Market Recommendation
The output answers a narrow inventory question: how large is the full one-grade-at-a-time Synthesis chain? It does not decide whether an item should be synthesized, equipped, sold, offered, or used in another Cube function.
That boundary matters because players compare Synthesis with selling gear for rune Gold, but those recommendations change with item value, upgrades, balance changes, and market conditions. No live Steam Market price, item roll, equipment value, or account state enters this calculation.
If the result is larger than your inventory, use the Task Bar Hero Farming Calculator to compare repeatable EXP and Gold routes. Use the Rune Planner when the competing use for Gold is a rune path, or the Pet Farming Calculator when the current goal is a kill-based unlock.
What This Cube Calculator Does Not Cover
Task Bar Hero's Hero-dric Cube is broader than Synthesis. Public references list Synthesis alongside Alchemy, Crafting, Decoration, Engraving, Inscription, Extraction, and Offering. Those functions have different inputs and outcomes, so presenting one material-chain formula as a calculator for the whole Cube would be inaccurate.
This page therefore does not calculate crafted gear recipes, material exchange value, decoration or engraving effects, inscription outcomes, extraction returns, Offering rewards, or market expected value. It also does not treat the public data as permanent. Check the displayed snapshot against the latest official patch if a recipe, grade, or result weight changes in game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Cube calculator use a 9-to-1 recipe?
The public Synthesis recipe data checked on July 18, 2026 records a material amount of nine across the available Gear, Accessory, and Material entries. The calculator versions that value locally instead of requesting it from a third-party site during every visit.
Does the starting-item total guarantee the target grade?
It is the deterministic total for a one-grade-at-a-time chain under the displayed 9-to-1 recipe. Lucky +2-grade outcomes can reduce actual use. A later game update can also invalidate the total if the recipe changes.
Does the calculator include lucky grade skips in the material total?
No. It shows the +2-grade probability beside each step but keeps the starting-item and craft totals conservative. This avoids presenting a random expected value as a guaranteed inventory requirement.
Can this tool tell me whether to synthesize or sell gear?
No. That decision depends on the item's usefulness, your rune budget, account progression, and current market conditions. The calculator has no save-file input or live Steam Market feed and should not be used as a price or profit recommendation.
Does this page calculate all Hero-dric Cube functions?
No. This calculator covers Synthesis grade chains only. Crafting, Alchemy, Offering, Decoration, Engraving, Inscription, Extraction, and their operation-specific materials or outcomes are outside this tool.
