Task Bar Hero Pet Farming Calculator for Unlock Time
Combine remaining progress, a selected target-monster stage, and your measured clear time to estimate the finish.

Per-clear values are stage averages. Actual spawn and completion behavior can vary, so replace the clear time with a measured average from several runs.
How the Task Bar Hero Pet Farming Calculator Estimates Time
The five base-game pets in this calculator each require 5,000 defeats of a specific monster. The selected pet determines the target monster and eligible stage list. Your current kill total determines how much progress remains, while the selected stage contributes an estimated number of target monsters per clear.
remaining kills = 5,000 − current killsruns remaining = remaining kills ÷ estimated kills per clearestimated time = runs remaining × average clear timeRuns are rounded up to a whole clear. Kills per hour come from the same stage-density and clear-time inputs, making it possible to compare a dense stage with a faster stage on one practical unit.
The per-clear values are community/datamined estimates stored in a versioned local snapshot. They are not live counters and do not guarantee that every clear produces the displayed number. Spawn composition, completion behavior, deaths, movement, and future patches can change the observed result.
Choose a Pet and Match Its Target Monster
The selector keeps all five kill-based pets in one place because the user task is the same for each one. The target monster, reward, and useful stages change, but the run-count calculation does not.
| Pet | Target monster | Requirement | Published passive bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bat | Bat | 5,000 | +10% normal chest chance; +15% EXP |
| Watcher | Giant Fly | 5,000 | +15% Gold per kill |
| Burning Skeleton | Fire Elemental | 5,000 | +10% stage-boss chest chance |
| Blue Golem | Hell Golem | 5,000 | +15% normal chest chance |
| Dark Spirit | Ghost | 5,000 | +15% stage-boss chest chance |
The three DLC pets are not included because they are purchased unlocks rather than monster-kill targets. A run calculator would not answer their acquisition task. A stage appearing first in the selector has the highest estimated kills per clear in the snapshot, but it is not automatically the fastest unlock for every account.
Compare Stage Density With Clear Speed
Monster density answers only half of the time question. If one stage is estimated to contain twice as many target monsters but takes more than twice as long to clear, the lower-density stage can still produce more kills per hour. That is why the calculator asks for a measured average clear time instead of declaring one universal best stage.
- Choose only a difficulty and stage the party can clear repeatedly without frequent deaths.
- Time several complete runs from the same start and finish points.
- Enter the average, not the single fastest result.
- Test another accessible stage with its own average and compare finish time.
- Prefer stable observed progress when two estimates are close.
Players have reported that Fire Elementals can appear less frequently than Bats or Giant Flies and questioned why the same 5,000-kill requirement applies. Those reports establish the problem, but individual anecdotes do not establish one universal spawn rate. The calculator therefore uses a dated reference snapshot and keeps your clear speed in the equation.
Use Current Progress, Not a Guess
Enter the kill total shown for the selected pet's target monster. If the total is already 5,000 or higher, the remaining runs are zero. The tool does not detect progress automatically and does not read a save file or the running game.
Recheck the input after a long farming session instead of projecting an old estimate indefinitely. If observed kills per clear differ materially from the snapshot, the time result will differ as well. The estimate is most useful as a baseline that shows the scale of the remaining task and helps compare accessible stages under one method.
Use the Farming Calculator when EXP or Gold per hour matters more than one monster target. Use the Rune Planner before committing Gold to the global tree, or the Cube Calculator before committing items to a Synthesis chain.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many kills are required for a base-game pet?
Each of the five kill-based pets covered here requires 5,000 defeats of its named target monster. Bat, Giant Fly, Fire Elemental, Hell Golem, and Ghost progress belongs to different pet unlocks. DLC pets are excluded because their unlock method is purchase, not farming.
Which stage is best for pet farming?
There is no universal winner based on density alone. Start with the highest-density accessible stages in the selector, enter a measured clear time for each candidate, and compare kills per hour and estimated finish time. Deaths and large timing swings can make a lower estimate more reliable in practice.
Why should I average several clear times?
One unusually fast or slow run can distort every projected hour. Averaging several complete clears better represents movement, wave transitions, and normal variation. Use the same start and finish points for each candidate stage.
Does the calculator track pet kills automatically?
No. Enter the current in-game progress manually. The browser tool does not upload a save, attach to game memory, or watch combat events. Automatic tracking is outside its data boundary.
Are DLC pets included?
No. Sword, Butterfly, and Dragon are excluded because their published unlock method is the Supporter Pack rather than defeating a target monster. The run-and-time calculation is not relevant to that acquisition method.

Per-clear target-monster counts are public-reference estimates. Runs, hours, and kills per hour depend on your current-kill and measured-clear-time inputs. The tool makes no first-hand gameplay or automatic tracking claim.
